The Freshers' Orientation Program of the Department of Law, held on Sunday, was completed successfully. Professor Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Vice Chancellor (Acting), GUB was present as the chief guest of the event.
The event commenced with recitations from different holy scriptures followed by an introductory speech by Faysal Abdullah, Lecturer of Dept. of Law, GUB. The new students and faculty members were welcomed with flowers and gifts after the introductory speech. Md. Elias Uddin Khan, Student Mentor of Department of Law, GUB then conducted a detailed presentation on Mentorship program followed by a comprehensive presentation on mooting by Aynal Haque, Lecturer of Dept. of Law, GUB and moderator of Green University Law and Mooting Society. Representatives from the new students expressed their feelings after the presentations in the segment of Freshers' reflection. Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Associate Professor, Dept. of Law and Honorable Proctor of GUB then delivered his speech in which he gave valuable guidelines to the students on how to have discipline in their lives.
Professor Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Vice Chancellor (Acting), then motivated the students with his mesmerising speech on how to approach this new journey and the purpose of our lives.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Law (Acting), GUB then gave a captivating speech on the importance of being ethically driven.
Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, Honorable Chairman of the Dept. of Law, GUB then gave his vote of thanks to conclude the first session of the event.
The second session was conducted by Shariful Islam, Program coordinator, who gave the students necessary directions regarding their academic program with his detailed discussion and after that Mazeda Khanam Chapa, DCO of the Department of Law also gave a short speech on the assistance provided by the Department of Law to the students and concluded the final session of the event.
