Successful Completion of "Field Trip 2023" by the Department of Journalism and Media Communication

The Department of Journalism and Media Communication completed the "Field Trip 2023" as a program of the department and also part of the KSA of the mentioned courses; GED 0222-111, Bangladesh Studies; JMC 0321-113, Introduction to Journalism; JMC 0321-123, Information Gathering and News Writing; GED 102 Art History; where the students were engaged to relate and implement their subjective knowledge in practice and also get the direct knowledge of knowing our country's art and history from Panam City, Sonargaon on 30th December 2023. 

This event started at 9.00 AM from the campus premises with the presence of our Honorable Chairperson, Dr. Md. Aliur Rahman, Dept of JMC. For the conduct and completion of the whole event, Assistant Professor, Dr. Mohammad Afzal Hossain Khan; Assistant Professor, MS. Monira Shormin; Lecturer, Md. Mahady Hasan and Lecturer, Md. Ibrahim Azad was also present on the field trip.   

The historical knowledge of the place alongside the archeological sites with enormous beauty enriched the students to the best of their knowledge. The museums and history documents in the respective places have largely encouraged the students to explore more of their culture and ancestorial beauty as they get their subjective knowledge of the texts. 

In the afternoon, a quiz competition was organized on the place to check the knowledge capacity of the students and how much they have gained throughout the trip. Also, there was a small session conducted by the faculty members where they shared their viewpoints on the prospects of subjective knowledge of the places. 

 

The event concluded with some note-taking of the beautiful site and practical implementation of the journalistic skills where the students took some pictures and videos to prepare promotional videos for their knowledge and coursework of the department.
